On May 18, 2007 a newborn filly, Miss Minnie Pearl entered the Rescue.
This little filly is Penny's baby; she is ready for the adoption process to an experienced person.

Thank you to Jane Lazarz for helping sponsor Miss Minnie Pearl's first needs.

Miss Minnie and her friend Sega have developed a very special friendship.
Minnie now wears a little bell that Sega can hear (Sega has lost most of his sight)
When Miss Minnie Pearl grazes, Sega can now safely go out into a small grassy
field and enjoy grazing with her. It is an amazing sight to see such a young filly
take care of her friend Sega. Ideally, we would like to adopt them together.
TEDDY is an 8-9 y.o. Percheron gelding. He was no longer useful to the
Boston carriage operator/owner so he would be brought to the auction to be sold.
He had sarcoids in his ears and one very big one on his
sheath that was unsightly. His chances of being bought at the auction were
not very high. A friend of the rescue asked us if we could possibly help. Again,
the price was based on his value at the slaughter house. Eight hundred dollars. Friends
of the rescue rallied to bring this beautiful horse to the rescue to have the needed
surgery and become a trusted friend to the right family. His surgery was successful and
he has recovered nicely.
He has not been trained
under saddle - only to drive.
Teddy is ready for adoption.

MONTANA BOY is an eight year old QH gelding. He has had one
month of professional training. He is sweet. Montana is an inexperienced
boy who had never been handled before entering the Rescue. He would need an experienced adoptive family. He is ready for adoption.

at Klem's on Equine Day, June 14, 2008.

Thank you, Lynn.
ALEX A. was saved from slaughter in May of 2008. He is a (4) four year old Thoroughbred.
He had rain rot on his back and face from which he is healing nicely.
Alex A. is being evaluated for his under saddle ability.
For such a young horse, he has quietly done all that is
asked of him: saddling, mounting from stirrup,
leading . He will gently take a carrot from your hand.
We are grateful to the Ammon Foundation for making the funds available
to rescue this beautiful gelding and provide his care until he is adopted.
